The Q was Timex's quartz line. The first, in 1972, was a set of pieces in one case style with different case and dial finishes, on the M62. At $125 they were expensive for Timex, part of the industry's answer to the quartz crisis. Later Qs used the M66 (1975), M64 (1976–1977), M73 (1978–1980) and M138 (1981).
Several have been reissued: the "Falcon Eye" in 2019, the 1978 Q (ref. 96961) as the "1975 Q Reissue" in 2021, and the red-dial 1972 model for the Q's 50th anniversary in 2022. The catalogs list these watches as "Quartz" rather than "Q", which is why this page has no catalog section.
