This Q, along with a set of similar pieces in the same style case with different case and dial finishes were the first set of Quartz pieces released by Timex. Coming at a massive, $125 at the time, These Qs were part of a push by many watch companies of the time to combat the “quartz crisis”. This particular, red dialed model was reissued in 2022 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Q.
