Timex Mercury

The 1954 catalog already lists the Mercury, and it stays in the catalogs into the early 1970s, often described as plain and simple: "Chrome, large size, plain dial", "sweep second hand". A 1953 Great Britain Mercury runs on the M21.

The Mercury 1030 was the first model to move from the M22 to the M24, in 1961. Calendar versions on the M25 and day-date versions on the M27 came in the 1970s. The 1044 is the Mercury Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. wore, on display in Terminal E of Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson airport since 2014. Prototypes from 1974–1975 in the Paul Wuthrich collection use the Mercury case and M24, likely tests for the Peanuts watches of 1976.
