This piece came directly from the collection purchased from Paul Wuthrich’s family by a few collectors. Paul was a former head of R&D at Timex for several decades and had several prototype pieces that came from the Timex labs. It is likely that this was one of many pieces being tested for the eventual release of the Timex Peanuts watches in 1976. The mercury style case and M24 movement used in this prototype were the same ones used to house many of those early collaborations.
