Timex Marlin
1954 was the first time we saw the model name "Marlin" attributed to a Timex watch. Its primary attributes for most of the model's lifetime were that it was a manual wind mechanical movement that was also water resistant (written "waterproof" in its earlier days).
The early pieces carry the M22. By the mid-1960s the Marlin had moved to the M24, with the M25 adding a date from 1967. Day-date versions on the M27 follow in the 1970s, then the M105 and M106 at the end of the decade. The 1955 Great Britain piece is the one on the cover of Susan McDermott's Timex: A Company and its Community 1854–1998.
The catalogs list Marlins by detail rather than by name alone: large size, sweep second, radiolite dial, metal expansion band.
After 1994, we do not see the model (by name) return again until 2017, with Timex's reissue of the 1966 Marlin, ref. 2014: its first mechanical watch since 1996. The Marlin has since once again become a central part of the Timex lineup.
